Global left ventricular dysfunction

Highlighting the features of a failing left ventricle. Emphasizing a dilated cavity and impaired systolic function, the echocardiographic features of the model accurately reproduce a clinical finding.

Left ventricular anterior wall motion abnormality

An accurate representation of left ventricular anterior wall hypokinesia with compromised artery flow. Students can understand how to characterize regional wall motion abnormalities and acquire the relevant echocardiographic imaging planes.

Hypovolemia

Tachycardia, reduced cavity dimensions and increased ejection fraction, typical of hypovolemia, are carefully reproduced with characteristic HeartWorks attention to detail. The animation features accurate timing of the cardiac cycle with incorporation of shortening of the diastolic period.
